Drinking Review

If a student plans to drink, they should remember the medical amnesty law that was passed on June 1, 2012.
The change in this law states that, “students who are under the legal drinking age may now reasonably expect that if they seek medical assistance when there are health care concerns related to alcohol use, they will not face criminal prosecution,” said Olin Health Center.
The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism also urge students to, “to avoid binge drinking… and track the number of drinks they consume over a given period of time.”
Students should also acknowledge that men and women process alcohol differently, said the Institute.
