Housing Recap

For some, two years of living in a dorm at MSU sounds awful; but for others, it’s just what they need.
While studies show that those students who live on-campus have better grade point averages and are more likely to graduate in four years, others would argue that they would be better off living off-campus.
As Emilie Wohlscheid, the Area Director with DTN Management who currently manages 48 apartment communities, said, “I think every student is different and the choice of living on campus should be their decision.”
“Some aren’t quite ready for the independence of living off-campus, but there are many that do a great deal of growing while living in that environment,” said Wohlscheid.
